Polarity
In the exhibition Polarity, Cansu Sezer explores the tension between opposing forces – chaos and order, freedom and control. Her paintings reflect the inner conflict that arises from the interplay of elements that attract, repel, and yet grow together. This dynamic is also mirrored in her painting technique: Sezer blends and repels colors on the canvas, creating a vivid and transformative interaction.
"I am obsessed with the beauty in chaos, the struggle of an identity that cannot be grasped. My paintings are a celebration of the unresolved."
Cansu Sezer, born in 1987 in Düsseldorf, is a German-Turkish artist based in Zurich. After a successful career as a Creative Director, she returned to painting in 2023 with renewed intensity. Her works were showcased in 2024 at the British Art Fair in the Saatchi Gallery in London.
Sezer's works challenge viewers to question the obvious and uncover the hidden.
